Anthony David Gonzalez (born August 25, 1970) is an American former football tight-end. Gonzalez was a player in the National Football League from 1997 until 2003. The NFL's most effective tight ends, and the third most effective overall receivers, he has been named the NFL's top tight end by the number of receptions, yards he has received, made, etc.
Tony Gonzalez is currently a FOX studio analyst. Gonzalez is on FOX NFL KICKOFF for this past season, serves as host of the program. The show airs on Sunday morning at 11:00 am ET before FOX NFL SUNDAY.
Gonzalez's assertion that he would retire from the NFL after the year 2013 wasn't true. On March 15 2013 Gonzalez agreed to sign with the Falcons an agreement for two years worth 14 million dollars. Randy Moss announced his retirement in 2012, and Gonzalez (37 an age) spent last season as an NFL's most prolific receiver.
